YALL...I've been struggling n tuggling these days with maintaining not just my nails but inspo to keep up with my monthly vision. I get my nails done bout every 3-4 weeks and they've been growing like weeds. I get the cut down every visit but these last couple of months, I've been banging em up to where they'll break off or split in the middle-ugh!! BUT...is this lowkey a sign O_0 ? A sign that I've been pondering and going back n forth with for not just a break **no pun intended** but a farewell tour of my infamous Nail Files??

Even though this month kicks off Summer and I come in with a splash of color on my nails, I wasn't feeling celebratory. I suddenly felt the need to create a theme of softness. I thought of Sheer Curtains by way of my pic because it represents the flow of a shadowy figure in a peek-a-boo manner. I instantly thought of the nude n neutral shades where although transparent there's still a silent scream with a softer focus that represents my mood.

I believe I'm shifting into a season of less and by that I mean; less loud, less colorful, less flashy and less visible. This doesn't mean I'm shrinking into hiding. I don't foresee that ever happening but I'm gliding into my aura, energy, personality and overall me being on the forefront to speak for me vs my personal style.

What will become of my Nail Files? My signature hands everyone loves? I don't know as of now. I do recognize as I deliberate what I want to do next in my career, going to the next level will require my nails to be toned down. I know it's been quite the debate on the professionalism of long and colorful nails and I must say...even though I'm on the C Suite level, you do NOT see my nails on the CEO level. Not saying that I want to go that high but yes, your appearance does make a difference in the corporate world and if it don't apply let it fly, lol.
