What the Snake refined, the Horse will release.

The rhythm of the Chinese New Year shifts with each zodiac, and the transition from Snake to Horse feels less like a calendar change and more like a wardrobe transformation. The Snake year is about strategy, intuition, and quiet power. It favors discernment over noise, wisdom over impulse, the kind of confidence that does not beg to be seen because it already knows.

And if I audit myself honestly, I wore that energy well and here's how I owned it:

I took calculated risks last year. With my platform, I've refined my editorial voice, and said yes to opportunities that once intimidated me. I overcame the fear of being too visible by becoming more intentional about how I show up without the pressures of OMG who's watching. I shed outdated doubts esp when it came to comparison, streamlined my focus, and trusted my instincts in rooms that once felt larger than me. And let's not forget-I checked off learning Pilates and Salsa off the bucket list. The Snake taught me to move with precision and to strike when it mattered.

Now let's step into the Year of the Horse so the tempo can change. The Horse in the Chinese zodiac represents freedom, stamina, charisma, independence, and bold forward motion filled with ambition. I plan to thrive in open spaces and be known for chasing possibility with unapologetic energy. If the Snake sharpened my instincts, the Horse is stretching my ambition. This is the year of momentum, of expanding beyond careful calculation into courageous action. The foundation has been built, you've seen how far I've come with the click of the back button.

The confidence has been tested. Now we run. I plan to carry the wisdom of the Snake into the daring of the Horse, pairing strategy with speed, grace with grit. I feel this will be the year of some fast moving energy and the encouragement to take the initiative vs waiting on permission. Consider this my official declaration that we are no longer circling the track. We are claiming it. What else you got to lose?

Here is to shedding what has restrained us, saddling up for what excites us, and brewing a year so bold it practically gallops off the page. Stay spirited, stay strategic, and giddy up! Let’s stir it strong and sip it with intention. ☕🐎
