Fall finds, personal notes & things worth putting in your wishlist
As much as I hate to put up my toes, my love for Fall runs deep! We get a few peeks of Summer here and there that allow me to keep some sandals in the mix but there's some shoes don't need much convincing regardless of the weather. I spotted the Steve Madden Fonza Mules ($110) during a random peruse through the shoe department last month, tried them on, admired them, and left them sitting pretty on my wishlist. Then as luck would have it, I caught them on sale for $65 and, well...my wishlist decided to come to life because into the cart they went.
The rich brown shade feels right at home for the season, but it's that snake-print strip that really caught my eye. A little vintage flair never hurt anybody. And say whatcha want about my kittens, but a 2½-inch heel still has me walking taller than any stiletto...in spirit.
As a lover of mules and kitten heels, these were practically speaking my language I couldn't deny. Add my favorite shoe shape-a pointy toe and I was sold. The silhouette pairs beautifully with my signature flare/wide-leg pants by default.
These little beauties would earn their keep in my Fall rotation when I remix it with camo bottoms I have in mind and don't be afraid to elevate the casual with pairing it with sweatpants. How would you wear em?
Give me the lift without the foot drama, please. These are vintage-inspired, pointy-toe goodness with just enough attitude to make a simple outfit feel intentional this Fall as it'll compliment a blazer here n there. And at $65? That's what I call a well-timed pour. ☕️
