A 28-Day Practice in Intention, Presence, and Care

If you are new here...Welcome. I've decided to commit to 28 days of small and intentional acts of love. The rules and ideas are here. I've been on a roll this month n looking forward to continuing to show up for myself to recaliberate some consistency wit content. At this point, I can cut the small chatter. Without further ado...
Day 16
Step outside and notice five details you usually miss.

The weather has been warming up and melting the remnants of the snowstorm a few weeks ago. I've been dog sitting and took a longer walk than usual to recognize the air is different with Spring nearby. While stepping outside and I'm realizing the world has been quietly changing without asking for applause. Here are five details coming into focus as winter loosens its grip:
The sound of melting: Not dramatic, just steady, even with the rain. The soft drip from rooftops, the squish beneath your shoes. Snow doesn’t leave loudly. It exhales.
The shift in air: It's still cool, but no longer blistering cold. The air feels rounder, gentler. You don’t brace against it. You breathe into it.
The way light lingers: Evening stretches itself just a little longer. The sun doesn’t rush offstage. It hovers, golden and unbothered. Pretty soon, it'll be bright pass 5p.
The dog’s pace: Ashton loves to roam free at the nearby lake. More curious. More eager. As if even he can sense something is blooming beneath the surface.
My shoulders: Lower. Softer. Less armored than they were a few weeks ago fighting off 10 degrees just to walk from my bldg to the car. Winter has a way of tightening us. Spring invites release.
