A 28-Day Practice in Intention, Presence, and Care

If you are new here...Welcome. I've decided to commit to 28 days of small and intentional acts of love. The rules and ideas are here. I've been on a roll this month n looking forward to continuing to show up for myself to recaliberate some consistency wit content. At this point, I can cut the small chatter. Without further ado...
Day 19
Revisit a place, song, or ritual you love
For Day 19, the place I revisit isn’t a street or a house. It's my childhood when I play songs from the 80's. It's so nostalgic and the first tune instantly takes me back to when life was innocent and I was naive to the world ahead. I remember being in the passenger seat as a kid on the way home from Grandma's house at night listening to the radio. Riding from NW to SE felt like hours but I would dose off and semi-hear 🎶 funny-how-time-flies-when-your having fun and by the time I'd feel we were home by the turn into the parking lot; I woke up to Smooth Operator. To this day, I associate Sade's music with sleep, lol. I only heard it at night n it always made me yawn. I love revisiting those days especially as it associates with music because I get lost in my playlist while my memory of what was is pretty much all I have of my mom, of my grandma's house, of my aunt taking me with her to the corner store, of childhood friends and just being a kid. Music is the only place where all of them still gather at once.
