A 28-Day Practice in Intention, Presence, and Care

If you are new here...Welcome. I've decided to commit to 28 days of small and intentional acts of love. The rules and ideas are here. I've been on a roll this month n looking forward to continuing to show up for myself to recaliberate some consistency wit content. At this point, I can cut the small chatter. Without further ado...
Day 20
Celebrate something ordinary.
For Day 20, I’m celebrating something ordinary that feels quietly extraordinary: laughter. The morning began with nasty rain which caused my commute to be filled with yawns. I wanted so much to just be IN the bed to surrender to the mood of it all. But when I logged into the office, I chose to smile. Not simply out of gratitude for employment, but because even on a heavy day, I can still generate light. A visitor mentioned he could tell I’m the life of the party, and while I laughed it off, it stayed with me. In a season where the world feels tense and smiles feel rationed, the ability to laugh freely is no small thing. It's hard for folks to even crack a smile and here I am touched with the joy of chuckling. Make no mistake-it’s resilience. And sometimes the most radical celebration is allowing yourself to cackle anyway.
