Coffee on the Go: Keeping Up With Me

Coffee to Go ☕️ A segment lighter than Espresso Pours, more spontaneous, and doesn't require a whole production. These will land wherever my brain happens to be in the AM.

Observation
My struggle isn't creating the content.
It's everything that comes after.
Editing. Reviewing. Posting. Promoting. And, if I'm being completely honest-getting distracted before I even get there.
Thought
I've been realizing how much time I spend consuming everyone else's life when I could be pouring that same energy into my own.
So this morning, I took a short 30-minute walk before 7AM. Nothing major. Just enough to warm up my legs, get some fresh air and wake my brain up.
I have Toot this weekend so for coffee date, we sipped at home.
And somewhere between that first sip and my very active morning thoughts, I realized I need to change more than my creative habits.
My mindset. My discipline. My time. My efforts.
Creatively. Physically. Fiscally.

Yesterday, I wandered into Barnes & Noble looking for a budgeting book (I eventually just ordered off Amazon) and left inspired to read again.
So I grabbed a book "Valley of the Moms".
This weekend, I'm going to read a chapter.
Maybe it'll be an hour somewhere in the middle of the day. Maybe it'll be before bed.
It doesn't really matter.
What's important is that I'm being intentional with my time and replacing the urge to keep up with the world with something that gives something back to me.
Because I'm getting hungry for my own goals.
Line to Linger
Stop keeping up with everybody else's life long enough to start building your own.
